Election 2017

Cytûn and its member churches and organisations are keen to promote open and balanced discussion, on a Christian basis, around the General Election which will be held on Thursday June 8.

In this section, you will find resources produced by our members to help you to discuss, reflect, pray and vote. You will also find links to the websites of other Christian organisations (we do not accept any responsibility for the content of external sites). New resources will be added regularly, so please call back whenever you can.

Public meetings with election candidates arranged by churches in Wales 2017
This year, as in each election for the past 40 years, groups of local churches will arrange question and answer meetings with candidates in each constituency. Guidance on arranging such meetings is available in the resources section [left]. Below, you can find a full list of the meetings we know about so far. If you are arranging a meeting of this kind, please contact Gethin Rhys – gethin@cytun.cymru or 029 0246 4378 – as soon as possible with the details.

N.B. These meetings are arranged locally, and the Cytûn office is not responsible for the arrangements. We cannot discuss which candidates have been invited, which questions are asked, etc. These are matters for the local organiser.
