Cytûn unites in pilgrimage those churches in Wales which, acknowledging God's revelation in Christ, confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures; and, in obedience to God's will and in the power of the Holy Spirit, commit themselves to seek a deepening of their communion with Christ and with one another in the Church, which is his body, and to fulfil their mission to proclaim the Gospel by common witness and service in the world, to the glory of the one God Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We strive to do this in a number of ways.

ON BEHALF OF THE WALES MIGRATION PARTNERSHIP, INCLUDING THE WELSH REFUGEE COUNCIL / DISPLACED PEOPLE IN ACTION / CHILDREN IN WALES, SAVE THE CHILDREN
There is an urgent need for children's toys at the Initial Accommodation Centre for asylum seekers on Newport Road in Cardiff. The Managers there have agreed that we can put out a call for toys and that they will make them available, though they do not have a great deal of space and there is no indoor dedicated play area as such. There needs to be a constant supply as the reality is that the stock of toys dwindles and needs replenishing - hopefully collectively we can come up with a plan to address this need in the longer term.
In the short term, if anyone is able to supply some safe/clean toys we will work with our partners to make sure that they are taken to the Accommodation Centre. The ages of the children can vary from very young to teenagers. Some drawing/art material would be very welcome as well if that's possible. Please phone 02920 489800 to offer toys - it would be really helpful if they could be dropped off at the Welsh Refugee Council Office for the attention of Ruth Gwilym Rasool or Bronia Conway.
Please do not donate toys which require batteries.
